Student Conference Awards

The Student Conference Award is available for registered postgraduate students to attend and present a paper at the 36th ISCB Annual Conference, 23 - 27 August 2015, Utrecht, The Netherlands.

Three awards will be granted. Selection will be made on the basis of a summary of a paper to be presented, which should illustrate the application of statistical methodology to clinical or epidemiological research. Results of particular studies are of interest only if the analysis has methodological implications or shows a novel and interesting application of biostatistics.

Applications, prepared as described in this document, should be sent to

Conference Awards for Scientists

As in previous years, the 2015 ISCB Conference Awards for Scientists (CAS) are available to biostatisticians from the countries underdeveloped in clinical biostatistics to present a paper at the 36th ISCB Annual Conference, 23 - 27 August 2015, Utrecht, The Netherlands.

The ISCB Executive Committee decided to increase the CAS budget for 2015, so more than 3 CAS awards may be granted. The Executive Committee hopes you may be encouraged to apply!

Only original contributions, not previously presented or published before the time of the application will be considered. Also, applications with purely theoretical content or those representing mere routine analyses of data sets are not encouraged by ISCB.

Each CAS award will consist of free registration to the 2015 ISCB Annual Conference, free accommodation, free subscription to one short course selected by the applicant, an invitation to the Conference Dinner sponsored by the ISCB, plus travel support.

Abstracts not granted a CAS award will be eligible for independent review by the Utrecht Scientific Programme Committee (SPC). However, please note that the abstracts will be forwarded to the SPC only at the specific request of the applicant.

Please, note that students are not eligible for the CAS.

Full details on the application procedure are given in this document. Scientists should submit their completed application form, one-page abstract and full poster or paper/presentation to
